TATUM HUBBLE

Hostess: Teresa Utz
Hi, I’m Tatum Hubble, a 17-year-old senior at Bandera High School, where I’m busy showing cattle, dancing, running cross country, and occasionally hitting the books in my honors classes. Diagnosed with severe hearing loss at age 3, I was told I’d never speak correctly—but I guess nobody told me that! I’ve tackled every challenge with resilience and faith, and now most people wouldn’t even know I wear hearing aids.
My mission? To show girls with hearing aids that being "different" is just another way of being awesome. You can dream big, push through, and come out on top.
When I’m not inspiring future trailblazers, you’ll find me riding 4-wheelers or tearing through the dunes at Glamis, California; because life’s too short to go slow. Oh, and by the way, I’m both a big sister and a little sister, so I’m always in the middle of something fun. Catch me if you can!

HARPER HARTSFIELD

Hostess: JJ Gaurd
Hi y’all! I’m Harper Hartsfield. I’m a 7th grade student at Bandera Middle School. I am part of a family of 5 and the leader of the girl gang. My two younger sisters are my built-in best friends for life. I am a 13-year-old small town girl who loves Jesus, dancing, showing goats in 4H, playing volleyball and basketball, being a big sister, playing the French horn in the BMS band, and helping others.
I stay busy with a lot of things but I’m passionate about dance. It helps me clear my min and brings me joy. When I’m not at the studio dancing, I am thinking about it, stretching, and practicing on my back porch. I was selected to be an assistant dance teacher at my dance studio where I can help younger girls find their talents through the art of dance. When I was eight years old I moved to Giddings Texas, from a small town in Indiana. When I was ten years old I moved to Bandera. Although I haven’t always been a Bandera County girl, Bandera has always felt like home. When I am not dancing or on the court, I’m cheering on the Bulldogs High School football team. My dad has been a coach for my whole life, so my two younger sisters and I have always grown up on the field.
My faith and family mean the world to me. Without Jesus and the support of my family I don’t know where I’d be. That’s my story in a nutshell. God bless y’all and God bless Bandera, Texas!

“Post Cheer Not Fear!”
Social media is a huge part of today’s world and unfortunately can be very negative for some. Life is so short and we all spend some much time sweating the small stuff: worrying, complaining, gossiping, comparing, wishing, and waiting for something bigger and better instead of focusing on all the simple blessings that surround all of us everyday.
I want for more cheerful, positive things to come from posts on social media. This will bring more cheer instead of fear in everyone’s life and future.
